Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum

A must see in London!

We've already been there twice, spring 2008 and autumn 2009, and in the relatively short period they did put new wax figures- MJ and Obama. There are probably others but I could not recall which was not there the year before.

Why is it a must see? Well, if you have pockets like us, this is the closest you can get to celebrities (and Saddam Hussein). You can even kiss JLo or Orlando Bloom. And stand between Brangelina.

What does it take to get yourself waxed in a museum?

or the one whom is already past his prime...

There is also a section on how they do it...that left me wondering how they did the political figures (you can't simply go and measure their faces, can you?)

It also features a fun ride in a London cab that takes you through historical periods of Britain.

Family friendly?... yes!
Wheelchair/ buggy friendly? wheelchair yes, but they asked to leave buggies at the entrance (a secure place).
Do I wish to come again?...been there twice, had fun both times :)
Will I recommend to friends?..Definitely.

My suggestion: 

Don't be disheartened by the amount of people waiting to take the pics. It is quite fast really. Make your way through and ask your photographer friend to get ready. Think of how you want to pose with the celebrity. When your turn comes, quickly get into your pose, however daring you would like it to be, and snap, snap! The picture will be worth it.
