It was February 2009.
We were desperate to start having fun
outside
again after a very harsh
winter
. We chose
Blackpool Pleasure Beach Theme Park
because it is quite near to our house (1 hour drive).
The place is huge! We paid for admission but did not buy the
wristband
. There were only a handful of free rides, the rest you have to pay per ride. The
wristband
will allow you to get on any rides without paying, but it was quite pricey. I am no fan to superfast dizzying rides, so we decided that it was not worth it.
errr... no thanks!
Never!
The
free rides
were not bad at all. I cannot remember much which ride was free, but we got on them all plus a few other 'benign' rides (train, bumper cars etc).
The ticket prices and opening times vary depending on the time of the year. Parking is plenty but charges apply.
Family friendly?... Very!
Wheelchair/ buggy friendly? ...Sure!
Do I wish to come again?...Yes, during summer, plus there is a beach opposite the theme park.
Will I recommend to friends? Yes.
